20% ADP IMPLEMENTED IN FIVE MONTHS

20% ADP implemented in five months

Political unrest has slowed the government\'s AnnualDevelopment Programme (ADP) implementation pace by 5percentage points in the first five months of the current fiscal year compared to the same period a year ago. Implementationof ADP during July-November 2013-14 by all the ministriesand divisions amounted to Tk 131.56 billion or 20 percent ofthe total Tk 658.72 billion ADP (Except Self-Financed) outlaysfor 2013-14 fiscal years, according to the ImplementationMonitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED). During July-November 2013-14, the highest ADP expenditure was inLocal Govt. Division which utilized Tk. 32.90 billion (31percent) from the allocated Tk. 106.32 billion for 2013-14,the Ministry of Primary & Mass Education utilized Tk. 15.77 billion (30 percent) from the allocated Tk. 51.86 billion, thepower division utilized Tk. 11.52 billion (13 percent) from theallocated Tk. 87.56 billion, the Ministry of Railway utilizedTk. 9.24 billion (25 percent) from the allocated Tk. 36.61billion, the Energy & Mineral Resources Division utilized Tk.7.78 billion (17 percent) out of the allocated Tk. 45.03 billion,the Ministry of Education utilized Tk. 7.18 billion (25 percent)from the allocated Tk. 29.03 billion and the Roads Divisionutilized Tk. 6.41 billion (20 percent) out of the allocated Tk.31.54 billion.
